Malta is a relatively small, densely populated island with rich history. Malta is also known for its creative door handles. Many people who have traveled there are deeply impressed by the classical and unique door handles. “If you like old doors and handles, then Malta would be worth a visit”. There is a remarkable eclectic selection of door handles around the town.
Take a look on the following pictures, and they may be filed in your memory for your next trip.

You can find handles like this on many doors, mostly in dolphin shape. This was a rare elephant one a tourist found. The artful way it is losing its color on the trunk appeals to people.
One solid brass traditional Maltese door handle in the form of ‘mythical dolphin’ has been reproduced from the original discovered in an old Maltese market some years ago. Complete with circular ‘button’ striker plate. This is one of the nicest replica fish found with lots of detail, good proportions and a nice ‘natural’ shape. Aside from being popular in Malta for a century, they can be seen in a variety of forms on doors of coastal cottages and large Victorian houses alike – nowhere more so than in Cornwall.

These door handles are really creative and amusive.
